Terms of service

The agreement between you and the operator of BrewGig. Plain language, and short enough to read.

Last updated: 10 September 2026

1. Who you are agreeing with

BrewGig is operated by BrewGig. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that operator, and “you” means the person using the service.

By creating an account you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.

2. What the service does

BrewGig records the work you log — jobs, trips, expenses, receipts, clients, invoices and goals — and computes figures from those records: earnings, hours, distance, deductible amounts and tax estimates. It is a record-keeping tool. It does not connect to your bank, it does not file anything on your behalf, and it does not collect money from your customers.

The web app and the Android app are one service on one account. What you can do is determined by your plan, not by the device you are holding.

3. Your account

  • You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 16.
  • One account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by someone you gave access to.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has got into your account.
  • The information you enter is yours to keep accurate; we do not verify it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to read, modify or delete another account’s data, or probe the service for ways to do so.
  • Upload anything unlawful, or any receipt image you have no right to store.
  • Automate the service in a way that degrades it for other people, or resell access to it.
  • Work around the limits attached to your plan rather than changing plan.

We may suspend an account that is doing any of the above, and will tell you why where we are permitted to.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

  • New accounts start with a free trial of a paid tier — no card is taken, and when it ends nothing happens except a return to the free plan.
  • The free plan carries monthly limits rather than an expiry date. It does not become a paid plan on its own and needs no card.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance for the interval shown at checkout, in the currency shown, and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record: checkout, card details and payment receipts are theirs, and the price shown at checkout is the price you pay — tax included where it applies. We never receive or store a card number.
  • One purchase covers web and Android. The Android app opens the same secure Dodo checkout in your browser; nothing is sold through Google Play billing.
  • Changed your mind? Within 7 days of any payment you can request a refund from account settings, and the first such request on an account is approved automatically. A refund ends the paid plan immediately.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your paid features run to the end of the interval you already paid for.
  • Prices and plan contents can change. Changes take effect for you at your next renewal, and we will tell you before that renewal.

If a paid plan ends for any reason, nothing you have logged is deleted. The account returns to the free plan, you keep read access to your history, and export stays available.

6. Estimates are not advice

Every tax figure this service produces is an estimate to plan with. For the United States it applies IRS-style federal rules — self-employment tax, the standard deduction and marginal brackets; elsewhere it applies a flat effective rate to your net earnings. Mileage uses published standard rates, tiered where a country tiers them, and every rate is editable on your account so you can enter what your tax authority actually publishes. It does not model credits, filing status, local taxes or anything specific to your circumstances.

Nothing here is tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and we are not your accountant. Check the numbers with a qualified professional before you rely on them, and before you file anything.

7. Your records stay yours

You keep every right you have in the records you enter and the receipts you upload. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you — to store your records, compute figures from them, back them up, and show them back to you.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use the contents of your records to build advertising profiles. Excel export is available on every plan, including the free one; branded PDF reports are included with paid plans.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service running and to warn you about planned maintenance, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn; if a change materially reduces what your paid plan does, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of the interval you paid for.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Export exists precisely so that you can.

9. Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time from account settings. Closing it deletes your data, including your receipt files, rather than marking it hidden — so export anything you want to keep first. One record outlives the account: a one-way fingerprint of your email, kept only so that closing and reopening an account cannot claim the free trial or the automatic refund a second time — how long we keep it sets out exactly what it holds. An active paid subscription is cancelled at the same time, so deletion can never leave you being charged for an account that no longer exists.

We may end this agreement if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. Except where you have broken these terms, we will refund the unused part of any interval you have paid for.

10. Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost earnings, or any tax, penalty or interest assessed against you.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of India, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. For material changes we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that date means you accept them.

13. Contact
